Informaton for Breakdown Operators
Thank you enquiring about joining AutoBreakdown as a rescue operator. We believe AutoBreakdown will make great changes to the way that tow truck services and mobile mechanics operate in several countries. Please read the information, below, before you register as an operator on our platform.Ordinary users: For ordinary users, all that is required is that they install the app on their phones. Whenever they need breakdown or mobile mechanic assistance, they will send a request on the app. If the vehicle owner is close to you, a notification will appear on your phone. You can then accept the request and contact the driver directly.
Breakdown operators: Firstly, you must also install the app just like a regular user. Once you have done that, we will change your status to 'Breakdown operator'. We will need to know your registration email before we can change your status. If you have not already installed the app on your phone, please download it here:
Vetted operators: Vetted operators are trusted tow truck drivers and mechanics. If you are a trusted operator, we will send more work your way. We will also pay you a monthly fee for you to attend to our select members. If you are not a trusted/vetted operator, then you must always negotiate a price with the vehicle owner. If you are a trusted/vetted operator, you may still negotiate with the drivers, but we will also pay you a monthly fee to assist our special members.
How do you become vetted?: Every time you assist a vehicle owner through our app, they leave a reference. After a few months of good references, we will invite you to join out trusted service. We may also do our own background check on you to ensure that your services and references are legitimate.
Next steps: Please download and install the app. If you have applied to be a breakdown operator, we will set you up as an operator. Once we have done this, you may have to log out of the app and log back in, for the changes to take effect. That's all you need to do and you will be ready to receive breakdown alerts.
